End of a Chapter
If you know me at all you know of my love for southern gospel music. This love was planted when I was very young and has grown into a passion for me in my late 20's. It was not long ago that the group pictured above was created and began it's ministry. When you put four very different people with different intrests in the same group there is always a chance that someone may not be able to stay with the group. Little did we know when we started almost two years ago, that we would lose one of our members. My middle brother and our lead singer Jordan sang with us for the last time tonight for what could be a long time. Jordan has been the showman in our family for many years. The amount of laughter that we have had because of his quick one-liners or public antics is immeasurable. Jordan is the same on stage as well. He commands the stage with a presence that is so easy to feed off of and have fun with. I will miss the way he sings some of our more popular songs like "Jesus Loves Me", "Until We Fly Away" and "Bein Happy". We will greatly miss him for so many reasons. Jordan has had a second passion for many years, film and movies. He has been trying to find a place in the movie industry that he felt like he fit in. It was not until this last year the he began to feel a pull toward Florida and the Disney company. After visiting with a friend who works at Disney World and doing a little research Jordan decided to look into a job at the park. The goal was to get in and get started and eventually work his way up to fulfill his life-long goal. Well God has answered prayers and provided Jordan with the opportunity to go and do just that. Jordan will be leaving on Thursday morning to move to Orlando, Florida. We pray that God will bless Jordan as he goes on this new journey. We pray that God will show Jordan his place in an industry that scoffs at anyone who stands up for their religous beliefs. We pray that God will bless our ministry with a new lead singer who will be able to come in and fit like a glove with the rest of us. Jordan cannot be replaced and we would never want to do that. But we have faith that God will move this ministry forwad and continue us on our journey as He leads Jordan down a new path.
